Smoking charge amongst U.S. adults drops to file low as vape use rises, CDC says

Cigarette smoking amongst U.S. adults continues to fall to file low ranges as e-cigarette use rises, based on a brand new report from the CDC.

Nearly 10% of adults within the U.S. smoked cigarettes in 2024, the report discovered. This is down from about 11% in 2023, CDC knowledge exhibits.

Meanwhile, the report discovered that 7% of American adults used e-cigarettes, or vapes, in 2024. This is a slight uptick from 6.5% of adults reporting e-cigarette use in 2023, CDC knowledge exhibits.
