The SNP’s Westminster leader has criticised the prime minister and chancellor over the mini-budget, calling it "one of the worst financial interventions in modern history".
Speaking at the party’s conference in Aberdeen, Ian Blackford accused Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng of causing "chaos" in the UK economy and "pushing more of our people into poverty".
He also criticised a planned £18bn cut to public services, adding: "The new Tory plan is the same as the old Tory plan; austerity 2.0."
