‘Something was carried out behind the scenes’: Sir Richard Dearlove questions why spy case actually collapsed
The former head of MI6 says it seems to be like "something was done behind the scenes" to get the case towards two British males accused of spying for China dropped.
Sir Richard Dearlove stated the case appeared like "appeasement" in direction of China and was "enormously damaging" to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
The case towards Christopher Cash, a former parliamentary researcher, and Christopher Berry – who’ve each constantly maintained their innocence – collapsed after the CPS stated proof couldn’t be obtained from the federal government referring to China as a nationwide safety menace.
