Spirit Airlines, the pioneering low cost airline that shook up the funds journey enterprise, is shutting down its operations. Its demise has stranded 1000’s of passengers who’ve to regulate plans and tens of millions who’ve tickets for future dates — Spirit canceled all flights, shut down its customer support and instructed prospects to not go to the airport. Customers with Spirit tickets can be issued refunds, and so they have been instructed to rebook journey on different carriers.
The choice will put 17,000 staff out of a job, together with 14,000 Spirit staff and 1000’s of contractors and different folks whose jobs depend upon Spirit. Eliminating the airline’s flights may lead to greater fares throughout the complete US airline trade.
