St Lucia’s first ever Olympic medallist nearly pulled out as a result of strain
Julian Alfred turned the world’s quickest lady when she took dwelling the 100 metres gold on the Paris Olympics, incomes the nation’s first Olympic medal.
Talking to Sky’s Jacquie Beltrao, she spoke of the strain she placed on herself earlier than going to the video games saying "there’s no way I feel like I have the mental capacity to go to the line again and to represent my country".
Now, Ms Alfred has visited a college in West London to encourage a brand new era of ladies to get into the game.
