Starmer, spies and China’s risk to nationwide safety

The prime minister’s been requested to ‘explain himself’ after the UK’s high prosecutor blamed the collapse of a China spy trial on the federal government – for not labelling China a danger to nationwide safety. 
 
But Sir Keir Starmer blames the earlier Tory authorities. 
 
A parliamentary researcher and his affiliate have been accused of passing on “politically sensitive” data to a member of China’s ruling politburo – so why gained’t it go to courtroom?
