Stocks in Japan, India Notch Historic Highs; U.S. Markets to Reopen Tuesday

Stock benchmarks in two of Asia’s largest economies climbed to historic highs, whereas U.S. fairness and bond markets had been shut for Martin Luther King Day.

Bank earnings and financial information later this week may give clues in regards to the Federal Reserve’s subsequent steps. The inventory and bond markets will reopen Tuesday. U.S. inventory futures wavered Monday.
