The arrest of Father Ted author Graham Linehan over social media posts sharing his views on trans rights has sparked a recent debate about free speech within the UK.
Writing on Substack, the 57-year-old mentioned that after flying into the UK from Arizona, he was detained by 5 armed officers at Heathrow Airport and put in a cell earlier than being questioned over posts printed on X in April.
Sky’s Wilfred Frost requested cupboard minister Wes Streeting about it, he mentioned "we would rather see police on the streets rather than policing tweets."
