Swedish postal employees be part of strike towards Tesla

Tesla will now get its mail somewhat late if the carmaker will get it in any respect.
The Swedish postal employees union Seko introduced Monday it’s becoming a member of the increasing strike towards the U.S. electrical automobile firm. Seko is teaming up with Tesla’s putting mechanics, who’ve been on the picket strains since final month, and Sweden’s dockworkers’ union, which has blocked the import of all Tesla vehicles.
Since Seko is on strike, Tesla will probably not get its mail. And essential elements used for upkeep will not be shipped by CityMail and PostNord.
The addition of putting postal employees widens the scope of Tesla’s labor battle in Sweden. After over 100 mechanics moved to unionize within the nation, Tesla refused to signal a collective bargaining settlement with the union IF Metall, which represents the mechanics.
The employees subsequently walked off the job, with the union accusing Tesla of hiring strikebreakers to reduce the price of IF Metall’s strike. Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, are towards unionization at their factories within the U.S. and overseas.
The strikes in Sweden could also be a proving floor for an upcoming unionization effort at Tesla services within the U.S. With the United Auto Workers securing contracts with the massive three automakers, President Shawn Fain introduced he intends to go after nonunion firms like Tesla.
