The UK’s largest steelworks has formally ceased manufacturing at present after greater than 100 years, resulting in hundreds of job losses throughout South Wales.

Tata Steel is changing the furnace with a greener electrical arc furnace which can use UK-sourced scrap metal, however that won’t be operational till 2028.
