Texas county emergency administration official says he was asleep throughout lethal flood
For the primary time since catastrophic flooding killed greater than 100 individuals in Kerr County, Texas, the county emergency administration director conceded that he was sick and asleep because the water rose to historic ranges on the Guadalupe River.
William "Dub" Thomas, the Kerr County emergency administration director since 2015, detailed his whereabouts throughout the disaster to the Texas House and Senate Select Committees on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding on Thursday in Kerrville, Texas.
