Liz Truss has suffered a bumpy day on the Conservative leadership campaign trail after announcing a major policy U-turn.
On Monday, the foreign secretary announced plans to save £8.8bn by introducing regional pay boards to set salaries for civil servants.
That would mean government employees getting paid according to where they live.
But she has retracted the plan after her opponents described the policy as "crackers".
