US President Donald Trump has stated he’ll slash the 50-day deadline he gave for Russia’s Vladimir Putin to succeed in a ceasefire with Ukraine by weeks, to simply “10 or 12 days” from now. But does a shorter deadline make a distinction in any respect, if, as Trump says, his Russian counterpart has already made up his thoughts to not make peace?
