Hundreds of 1000’s of youngsters who moved from main to secondary faculty through the pandemic have acquired their GCSE outcomes – with the gender hole for prime grades persisting.
Nearly 1 / 4 (24.5%) of women achieved a minimum of a grade 7 (A) in contrast with nearly a fifth of boys (19.4%) – a 5.1 proportion level hole.
