Ms Alexander says there have been "significant" issues in two terminals, and it was the judgement of the airport to shut, saying "Heathrow wouldn’t have reopened if there were any questions about the continuity of the supply".
She says she spoke with Thomas Woldbye, chief govt of Heathrow, on Friday morning, however when pressed about what number of conversations she had because the fireplace, Ms Alexander repeats that she spoke to Mr Woldbye as soon as, on Friday morning, when the choice was made to shut.
However, Ms Alexander says she had a "number" of calls with officers, together with Energy Secretary Ed Miliband.
