FIFA president Gianni Infantino has doubled down on the "peace prize" he awarded to Donald Trump, in a large ranging interview with Sky’s Yalda Hakim.
He mentioned: "Objectively, he deserves that prize. He was instrumental in resolving conflicts and saving lives and saving hundreds of lives.
"To me, there is nothing more important than… stopping killing and stopping this kind of suffering."
Infantino additionally apologised for a joke he made concerning the arrest document of English followers in main tournaments and insisted he did not remorse his speech forward of the Qatar World Cup.
