U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland has made a statement, officially confirming that Donald Trump’s Florida home was searched by the FBI.
Mr Garland said he had personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant and it was not one which was "taken lightly".
He strongly defended the FBI following accusations of "unfounded attacks", saying he would not "stand by silently" as the "integrity" of the FBI and Justice Department was questioned.
