Trump submit has critics saying he is declaring himself above the regulation
Pres. Trump, over the weekend, stoked criticism and alarm when he posted a blunt and cryptic assertion seemingly suggesting the nation’s legal guidelines do not apply to him.
"He who saves his Country does not violate any Law," Trump wrote on his private X and Truth Social accounts on Saturday.
The White House later shared the assertion from its official X account however did not elaborate on why he posted it or what he meant by it.
Although its precise origins are unclear, the quote is commonly attributed to Napoleon, the French common who successfully declared himself emperor within the early 1800s.
