Defence Secretary John Healey has revealed that the UK and its allies monitored a Russian assault submarine and two spy submarines mapping Britain’s underwater infrastructure.
The operation occurred in UK financial waters within the North Atlantic and lasted a month.
Sky’s defence and safety editor, Deborah Haynes, mentioned Mr Healey’s public feedback had been aimed toward deterring additional Russian operations.
