Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Kit Malthouse says schools have been told to "stay open" during the soaring temperatures in the UK, but ultimately the decision lies with the headteacher.
He also defended the Prime Minister, saying it’s "completely unfair" to say he’s not across the severity of the weather situation after failing to attend a COBRA meeting.
