‘UK will use no matter diplomatic affect we have now to revive Gaza ceasefire,’ says chancellor

Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Pat McFadden speaks to Sky’s Wilfred Frost.

He is first requested in regards to the outbreak of violence within the Middle East in a single day, with Israel resuming lethal strikes on Gaza.

McFadden says the federal government will "use whatever diplomatic evidence we have to try to get that ceasefire restored as soon as possible".

He can also be requested in regards to the authorities’s deliberate welfare reforms.

McFadden says the cupboard "is definitely united" behind the plans to take care of the "problem of a welfare system" that has seen lots of people going onto long-term illness and incapacity advantages.
