Thousands of Ukrainian convicts have opted to swap their jail cell for the frontline of their nation’s conflict towards Russia.
The scheme was launched final May by the Ukrainian authorities in an try to beat a manpower scarcity – Russia adopted an analogous technique earlier within the conflict.
Since then, 7,000 criminals have agreed to commerce time behind bars for the battlefield.
