Understanding pertussis, or whooping cough
Some areas of the U.S. –and overseas – are seeing an uptick in whooping cough (pertussis) instances – together with in components of Wisconsin.
Whooping cough is an infectious respiratory sickness attributable to Bordetella pertussis micro organism. It spreads via the air when an contaminated individual coughs or sneezes.
