United Airlines will preemptively cancel about 200 flights beginning Friday, the airline tells CNN. That’s roughly 4% of United’s Friday schedule and is comprised of largely regional flights. United says it is going to cancel about 4% once more on Saturday and Sunday. The announcement from United got here because the Trump administration is contemplating a 4% discount in flights beginning tomorrow, an airline official acquainted with the proposal instructed CNN. The proposal is preliminary and nothing is closing, a separate supply mentioned.
