The Metropolitan Police has stated 890 individuals have been arrested at a protest in opposition to the banning of Palestine Action as a terror group on Saturday – together with 17 on suspicion of assaulting officers.
A complete of 857 people have been arrested in Parliament Square in London beneath the Terrorism Act 2000 over alleged offences, the power stated.
It added {that a} additional 33 have been arrested for different offences, with 17 of these detained on suspicion of assaulting officers. The Met Police didn’t say what the opposite 16 arrests have been for.
