The US embassy in Israel has arrange a brief "pop-up" consulate to serve the hundreds of American residents of an unlawful Israeli settlement.

The controversial transfer locally of Efrat has delighted some – and angered others.

Around 4,000 individuals in Efrat – that is a few third of its inhabitants – are US residents.
