US says it’s ‘not at conflict’ with Venezuela as captured president detained in New York
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is being held in a detention centre in Brooklyn after being dropped at New York by boat and aircraft by his US captors.
In an interview with NBC’s Meet The Press, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared to downplay the stakes, insisting that America is ‘not at conflict’ with Venezuela.
Mr Maduro can be moved to a courthouse in Manhattan and can face quite a lot of fees, together with drug working, with stories suggesting he might seem in court docket throughout the subsequent day.
