A sequence of occasions are being held to mark the eightieth anniversary of VE Day and the top of the Second World War in Europe.
A particular procession will start in Parliament at 11am forward of a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey, which shall be attended by members of the Royal Family.
The service will comply with a two-minute nationwide silence at 12pm.
