Voters who stayed at residence for native elections will again Tories at common election, claims minister

Health minister Maria Caulfield has instructed that voters who determined to not take part within the native elections would nonetheless come out to help the Conservatives within the subsequent common election.

Speaking to Sky News, Ms Caulfield admitted she discovered final week’s Tory losses on the poll field – notably the lack of Andy Street as West Midlands mayor – "very disappointing".

However, she maintained that voting at a common election would comply with a "very different" sample and voters have been merely utilizing the native elections to point out they have been "unhappy about certain things".
