Defence ministers are being requested an Urgent Question on the federal government’s Chagos negotiations.
It comes amid considerations that the incoming Trump administration is against the settlement that may see sovereignty of the Chagos Islands transferred to Mauritius, with a 99-year lease for the army base on Diego Garcia, attributable to potential Chinese affect within the area.
