Manchester Airport has warned passengers of delays after briefly closing its runways because of "significant levels of snow".
It comes as giant swathes of the nation take care of disruption brought on by the freezing climate, with the South West and south of England significantly affected by heavy snow.
In an announcement on Thursday morning, the airport mentioned: "Our runways are temporarily closed due to significant levels of snow, as our teams work hard to clear them as quickly as possible"
