Russian opposition activist and former municipal deputy for the Krasnoselsky district Ilya Yashin delivers remarks and solutions questions on his YouTube channel.

Yashin was part of the largest East-West prisoner swap because the Cold War that passed off on Thursday.

Some two dozen folks from international locations together with Russia, the US, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway and Belarus have been exchanged – a choice that was met with some criticism from German residents after the federal government agreed to launch Vadim Krasikov, a Russian convicted of the 2019 homicide of a former Chechen militant in Berlin.

Mr Yashin has stated his goal is to return to Russia and work in the direction of a "free" nation.
