The discovery was made by a member of the general public on Wednesday.

Greater Manchester Police stated officers have been referred to as to Ravenscraig Road, close to Ashtons Field in Little Hulton, a suburb of Salford, at about 1pm.

Police stay on the scene, and the drive is about to carry a press convention at 5.30pm tonight.
