UN Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, has mentioned "there is a lot of hope" for a "new Syria" following the latest downfall of Assad.
Speaking in Damascus, he says it is nonetheless "early days" for the nation, however "the conflict isn’t over yet". In time he hopes for a political transition that’s "credible" and "inclusive".
