On the day resident docs are again in work after six days of consecutive strikes, Health Secretary Wes Streeting has launched a press release to coincide with their return.
In it, he criticises the £300m value of the strike and mentioned "that money would have been better spent implementing this offer to improve resident doctors’ pay and career opportunities".
He’ll be giving a chat to a thinktank this morning, which is publishing a report on how the NHS might be funded higher – to which he’ll be responding.
