White House pushes again after preliminary stories stated Amazon would show tariff prices for customers

An Amazon spokesperson pushed again on a report that the corporate was planning to indicate shoppers how a lot a product’s price comes from tariffs.

"Teams discuss ideas all the time," the spokesperson stated. "This was never a consideration for the main Amazon site and nothing has been implemented on any Amazon properties."

The report had prompted pushback from the White House, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt calling such a transfer a "hostile and political act."
