After Jessie Buckley received Best Actress on the Critics Choice Awards 2026 for her ‘Hamnet’ portrayal of Agnes Shakespeare reverse Paul Mescal’s William Shakespeare , she detailed her “pretty sexy” feeling towards the position in an unique interview with E! And whereas the 36-year-old accepting the honour on the Chelsea Handler-hosted ceremony was icing on the cake, she emphasised that it was a dream come true to deliver Maggie O’Farrell’s novel to life in Chloé Zhao’s adaptation. “The book was so extraordinary,” she defined. “When I read the book it kind of ripped through me like a hurricane.
