With rising unemployment and fewer vacancies, tens of millions have given up on the lookout for work
Unemployment has reached 5.1% and the variety of vacancies is falling, with younger folks the worst affected, in keeping with figures from the Office for National Statistics for the three months to October.
That was up from the 5% degree reported a month in the past.
