Wrongfully convicted man exonerated after spending over 3 a long time in Texas jail

A Texas man who spent 34 years in jail after being wrongfully convicted was exonerated on Thursday. Benjamin Spencer was convicted of theft and homicide in 1987. His conviction was overturned after witnesses had been discovered to have given false testimony.

Spencer spoke in courtroom, thanking his authorized crew and asking folks to recollect the sufferer who misplaced his life nearly 40 years in the past.
