‘Renovation Aloha’ Stars Sued for Showing Native Hawaiian Remains on TV | E! News

Kamohai Kalama and Tristyn Kalama—the celebrities of HGTV’s Renovation Aloha—are dealing with authorized bother after the collection confirmed the invention of Native Hawaiian stays, often called iwi kupuna—a possible violation of state regulation. The episode was reportedly filmed in December, per Hawaii News Now. In an April 17 Instagram video, Kamohai and Tristyn mentioned they instantly reported the stays to authorities and to their ‘kupuna’ (the title for Hawaiian grandparents, elders and ancestors) to learn to greatest proceed after discovering the stays on their development website. According to Honolulu Civil Beat, citing courtroom paperwork, the Hawaii Attorney General’s workplace filed to acquire a brief restraining order forward of the episode’s April 14 air date with the intention to stop the stays from being proven on digicam.
