Scotland: Future of first minister Humza Yousaf hangs in stability as Greens again no-confidence movement

Scotland’s embattled First Minister, Humza Yousaf, has instructed Sky News he is not going to resign from his place, regardless of the prospect of a no-confidence movement subsequent week.

Pressure has been constructing on the SNP chief after he tore up a power-sharing take care of the Scottish Greens – prompting the Scottish Conservatives to announce their intention to lodge a vote of no-confidence in him, claiming he had "failed" in his position.

However, in an interview with Sky’s Scotland correspondent, Connor Gillies, Mr Yousaf maintained that he "absolutely" intends to combat the movement, including: "I have every intention of winning that vote."
